Can Hungarians get any nicer?

Competir Internacional received by Hungarian representatives at the Embassy of Hungary in Lisbon.

Competir Internacional hereby appreciates the invitation from the Portuguese-Hungarian Chamber of Commerce, represented in the person of Miguel de Pape, to the pleasant event.

We wish to thank the International Economic Relations and Sustainable Development State Secretary from the Hungarian Ministry of Finance, Dr. Antal Nikoletti, for the availability and boost message about strengthening relations between Portugal and Hungary, as well as advise on which sectors to invest.

During the speech, Hungary was promoted for investment as its macroeconomic overview is very positive at the moment: unemployment rate decreasing, GDP growth and government dept lowering. GDP growth happened due to the increasing exportation of goods. Also, launching a disciplined fiscal policy, having an outstanding net lending position, investing in the reduction of the administration (specially tax administration) and focusing in a brand new online cash register and electronic road delivery control system, make Hungary a market in progress.

After the crisis, the foreign investments suffered from 4 billion USD/EUR to 1.5 billion, for the investors are more and more cautious. However, the best advantages of the country lay mainly in its workforce, geopolitical situation and business climate. Together with the actual governmental strategy  – Irinyi Plan, it is obvious that Hungary is hunger for commercial attention. Dr. Antal recommended food industry, green economy, health industry & tourism sectors to invest, among others.

A special thank you to Klára Breuer – Embassator of Hungary in Lisbon, that gently guided every guest through a wonderful lunch, filled with great products and for fostering the importance of

relationship building between these two nations. We also had the opportunity to offer a small sample of the range Competir Internacional represents, in order to expand Portuguese quality local products cross-borders.

Furthermore, we were last friday (7th of July) representing Morgado de Sta. Catherina 2015 DOC Bucelas, from our partner Wine Ventures, that won the gold medal at the VinAgora International Wine Competition 2017 held in Budapest.
